Gaspara

579,00

Born in Padua to a Milanese family, Gaspara Stampa lived in Venice from 1531, where she led an elegant and unscrupulous life, signalling for her beauty and her skills as a singer and lute player. But his fame is mainly linked to his literary salon, frequented by the best Venetian artists and intellectuals, and his Rimes. In them she transposed the strong personality that characterized her and the propensity to live freely the sentimental experiences of her short life, perhaps closed with suicide by pain of love. In the eyes of posterity, this has made her a novella Saffo, although her poetry tends to resolve itself in the immediacy of unprocessed verses on the formal level. And perhaps precisely in this spontaneity, free from the harsh formulas and metric schemes too binding, are its originality and its modernity that give us back, as in an intimate diary, the complexity and richness of an ardent female psychology.

Description

The model we dedicate to Gaspara intends to become a lyrical and unconventional expression of feminine attitudes to grace and kindness, to intimate and amorous confidence, but also to a certain eccentricity or autonomy with respect to culture and habits of their own time.
